Wightlink is the island's largest ferry operator, offering the easiest and quickest ways of getting to the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth to Fishbourne/Ryde and Lymington to Yarmouth.

DirectionsBlackgang is situated on the A3055 about 6 miles from Ventnor and about a mile or so further on from the village of Niton. It is about 13 miles from Freshwater. From Fishbourne ferry port, (15 miles) take the A3054 to Newport and then take the A3020 to Blackwater Hollow and on to Rookley. Take the turning right onto the Niton road and follow the signs through to Chale and Blackgang. ParkingBlackgang has tarmac parking for approximately 500 cars and hard grass parking for a further 300 cars. There is a small environmental charge for this service. There is a limited number of disabled parking spaces, situated about 100 metres from the park entrance. However, feel free to drop passengers at the entrance before returning to the car park. There is free coach parking adjacent to the park and there is also a public bus service that has regular buses through to Newport and Ventnor. |
